About the Song
America 250 Proof™ is a modern patriotic anthem — a high-energy ride through America’s history, resilience, sacrifice, innovation, and identity.
The Inspiration
I have always believed the world is better because of the United States of America. Over 250 years, the men and women of this country have fought for freedom, delivered humanitarian aid, and contributed to innovations in medicine, technology, the arts, and so much more.
The song was written to celebrate that spirit — not as a perfect history, but as an anthem of grit, sacrifice, resilience, and pride.
The World Through American Eyes
Over two decades of worldwide travel, people I met often wanted to talk about the spirit of America: the land of opportunity, the place where people could raise a family, build a business, and live a life filled with possibility.
We are still a young country. We are not perfect. But America remains a mighty beacon of hope, creativity, and freedom.
The Military Connection
I wrote America 250 Proof™ after serving as Executive Producer for the Army 250th Celebration at Fort Bragg and Navy and Marine Corps 250th programming in 2025.
The renewed joy, pride, and energy of our service men and women inspired me. It also reminded me of my childhood living on base in New Mexico, where families were united in spirit, service, and purpose.
Remembering 1976
I found myself thinking back to America’s Bicentennial in 1976 — the Amtrak Freedom Train, red, white, and blue police cars, parades, cookouts, fireworks, and celebrations from small towns to big cities.
Across the country, people celebrated life, love, liberty, and the shared pride of being American. America 250 Proof™ was written to help bring that energy forward again for a new generation.
Why I Wrote It
I felt called to write a song that could help bring people back to a place of shared pride, gratitude, and possibility.
